I emerged from the dissertation doldrums for a moment to laugh heartily at this sentence, with which its missing verb is just the beginning of its problems (haaaaa). I like to imagine the copy editor reading this sentence, cocking her head, reading it again, narrowing her eyes, reading it again, and then shaking her head and moving along, because who even knows. But the author does get bonus points for pluralizing “attorneys general” properly. It’s nice to know that I’m not the only person who struggles to express herself clearly.
